Ignition Youth Group

Ignition is a high school age youth group that meets twice a semester starting in September. This group is open to any high school student, not just Valley students, who wants to grow in their faith and become connected with other Christian teenagers. It is hosted at Valley Lutheran and starts at 5:30pm. A schedule of the program is listed below as well as the topics covered for this year. Please come join us as we walk with the Lord together.

The theme verse for this group comes from Acts 4:31 which reads: "And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the Word of God with boldness."

Sunday Night Schedule for Ignition
5:30 - 6:00 Food and Fellowship
6:00 - 6:20 Small group breakout #1 (discussion of the good and bad things in your life and prayer)

6:20 - 6:50 Whole group worship and message
6:50 - 7:10 Small group breakout #2 (Bible study and discussion on the topic for the day)

7:10 - 7:30 Whole group worship and closing

7:30 - 8:00 Games in the gym

Topics covered during the Year (2011-2012)

September 18th: Fire: positive and negative effects in the world and in scripture

November 13th: Water: positive and negative effects in the world and in scripture

February 19th: Light: positive and negative effects in the world and in scripture

April 22nd: Tongue: positive and negative effects in the world and in scripture

8th graders are invited to join us for the April Ignition.
